Cardamom Rice
Ingredients (for 2ppl):
Main Ingredients:
- 120g basmati rice
- Double the volume of rice in water
- 1/2 an onion
- 2 cardamom pods
Instructions
Prepare (5min):
- Dice onion into small cubes
- Boil the kettle
Cooking (20min):
- Put some oil and the onions into a saucepan and sauté for 1 minute
- Add the rice and season with salt and stir for a further 1 minute
- Add the water, stir to mix it all up and add the cardamom pods
- Turn down to low heat, put a lid on and cook for 18 minutes exactly
