Chinese Scallops
Ingredients (for 2ppl):
Main Ingredients:
- 400g fresh scallops shelled and trimmed
- 1 lemmon
- Chinese fice spice
- Sesame oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- Runny honey
- 2 small knogs of butter
- Small bunch of fresh coriander
Goes Well With:
- Egg Fried Rice
- Seasonal Chinese Vegetables
Utensils:
- Non stick frying pan
Instructions
Prepare (3min):
- Score crisscrosses on the top of the scallops, going only halfway through
- Drizzle some olive oil, salt, pepper, finely grate over some lemen zest and dust with Chinese 5 spice, sesame oil and toss
Cooking (5min):
- Put a good lug of olive poil in the frying pan, add the scallops scored side down, 2.5 minutes face down, turn them all over for 30 more seconds
- Crush 1 unpeeled garlic over, 1/2 a lemon juice, tiny drizzle of honey and 2 small knobs of butter
