Chocolate Madeleines

Ingredients (for 12 madeleines):

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 100g plain flour (extra for dusting)
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 100g butter
  • 1 tbsp coco powder
  • A splash of milk

Utensils:

  • Madeleine tray
  • Electric whisk
  • Bowl
  • Saucepan

Instructions

Prepare (8 mins + 20 waiting):

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan
  2. Whisk the eggs and sugar with an electric whisk in a bowl until frothy
  3. Then add the flour, baking powder, coco powder, 95% of the butter and a splash of milk and mix
  4. Leave it out uncovered (20 mins)
  5. Preheat the oven to 200° after 10 mins
  6. Use the remaining butter in the saucepan to brush on the madelein tray

Cooking (10min):

  1. Pour the mixture into the madelein tray and cook for (8-10 mins)
