Chocolate Madeleines
Ingredients (for 12 madeleines):
Main Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 100g caster sugar
- 100g plain flour (extra for dusting)
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 100g butter
- 1 tbsp coco powder
- A splash of milk
Utensils:
- Madeleine tray
- Electric whisk
- Bowl
- Saucepan
Instructions
Prepare (8 mins + 20 waiting):
- Melt the butter in a saucepan
- Whisk the eggs and sugar with an electric whisk in a bowl until frothy
- Then add the flour, baking powder, coco powder, 95% of the butter and a splash of milk and mix
- Leave it out uncovered (20 mins)
- Preheat the oven to 200° after 10 mins
- Use the remaining butter in the saucepan to brush on the madelein tray
Cooking (10min):
- Pour the mixture into the madelein tray and cook for (8-10 mins)
