Macaroni Cheese
Ingredients (for 3-4ppl):
Main Ingredients:
- 500g macaroni pasta
- 500ml skimmed milk
- 2 tablespoons of plain flour
- 175g of mature cheddar cheese
- Half a tub of Imperial cheese
- Packet of Kraft dinner (just for the sachet)
- 1 teaspoon of dry mustard powerder
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon caenne or black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of breadrumbs
- 2 large tablespoons of butter
- Parmesan cheese
Utensils:
- Baking dish
- 2 x Saucepan
Instructions
Prepare (1min):
- Boil the kettle
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees
Cooking (40min):
- Put the pasta on as per packet instructions minus 2 minutes with some salt and oil
- Put a saucepan on a medium head, add the butter, milk and flour and whisk until mixtures starts to thicken slightly
- Turn the head off and then add all of the cheese (break into pieces or grate), the kraft packet, salt and pepper
- Strain pasta, and pout the pasta back in the saucepan it cooked with and pour the sauce on top, stir well
- Pour everything into the backing dish, add some parmesan cheese and any herbs you like (parsely goes well) and put into the oven for approx 28 minutes
