Rice & Potatoes
Ingredients (for 4ppl):
Main Ingredients:
- 200g long grain Uncle Bens rice
- Salt
- Shmultz (fat - 3 tsp)
- 2 x potatoes
- 400ml chicken stock (2 tbsp of Telmas + 400ml water)
- 400ml additional water during cooking
Utensils:
- Pyrex dish
Instructions
Prepare (15min):
- Put rice in a Pyrex, cover with water and leave to stand for 10 minutes
- Turn oven on to 200°
- Slice potatoes thinly
- Make 400ml of chicken stock with the Telma
Cooking (60min):
- Drain rice
- Sprinkle salt over rice
- Lay potatoes over the top
- Sprinkle salt over the potatoes
- Pour stock carefully over everything and then the couple of teaspoons of Shmultz
- Put in the oven (1 hour)
- After 30 mins add 200ml boiling water
- After a further 15 mins add another 200ml
