Creamy Mushroom Steak
Ingredients (for 2ppl):
Main Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 200g thinly sliced portobello mushrooms
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 235g of single cream
- 1/2 a cup of dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons of dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon of basil
- Potatoes
- Vegetables
Utensils:
- Pyrex dish
- 2 x Saucepan
- Frying pan
Instructions
Prepare (8min):
- Pre heat oven to 240 degrees
- Peel and slice potatoes
- Finely chop the garlic
- Thinly slice the mushrooms
Cooking (60min):
- Put potatoes in the oven for 60mins (also needs tossing half way through) - Can also put in carrots/peppers/onions
- Melt butter in a saucepan with the garlic, when butter melted add mushrooms and toss for 3 minutes
- Add wine and simmer for 3 minutes
- Put on vegetables
- Add basil, mixed herbs, cream and mustard. Stir until mixed and simmer for 10 minutes
- Fry steaks as desired, remove and put onto a chopping board and cover
- Pour sauce into the steak frying pan and mix into the burnt steak bits on the pan
